WealthFluent, operated by Ripsaw LLC, is committed to protecting your privacy. We understand that keeping your information secure and confidential is essential to earning and maintaining your trust.

We NEVER rent, sell, or trade your Personal Information (as defined below) to anyone.

This Privacy and Security Policy describes our policies and procedures for collecting, using, disclosing, sharing, and protecting your Personal Information. We refer to Ripsaw LLC as “WealthFluent,” “we,” “us,” or “our.” We refer to those who visit our website without logging in as “Visitors,” those who create an account (“Account”) or use our services as “Users,” and those who enroll in our Wealth Management Service as “Clients.” Together with our Terms of Use Agreement, this Policy governs your use of our services.

How to Use This Policy

This Policy explains how we gather and use your Personal Information across our services, including account aggregation and our AI Assistant feature. We detail sharing/disclosure practices, collection of non-Personal Information, security measures, data deletion requests, and opting out of marketing. For questions, contact us as outlined below.

How We Collect and Use Your Personal Information

“Personal Information” includes identifiable details like your name, email, mailing address, phone number, account credentials, account numbers, or other identifiers collected via our website, mobile app, or communications that could identify you.

Except as stated here, we do not share your Personal Information with anyone, including for third-party promotional use. We will NEVER sell, rent, or trade it.

We may collect non-Personal Information from your activities (e.g., browser data, cookies). See “How We Collect and Use Non-Personal Information From Your Browser and App Activities” below.

For Visitors

When visiting our website, we may place a cookie to recognize return visits, collecting your IP address and browser type only. See non-Personal Information section below.

For Users

Personal Information We Collect:

  • Upon registration: Your name, email address, phone number, and optional details (e.g., age, health, investable assets, risk preferences).
  • For surveys (optional): Demographic or other provided information, retained indefinitely.
  • For account aggregation: Login credentials, security questions, and account data (e.g., balances, transactions, holdings).
  • For AI Assistant (“Magpie”) (available to Premium subscribers): Your questions and prompts, account information (names, balances), holdings data, transaction history, profile information (name, email), and financial plans/goals, as detailed in the “AI Assistant (Magpie)” section below.

How We Use Your Personal Information:

  • To create and manage your Account, authenticate devices, and communicate updates or maintenance.
  • For aggregation: Securely retrieve and display data, provide visualizations, and offer insights.
  • For AI Assistant (“Magpie”): Process your data through Anthropic’s Claude model, hosted on Amazon Bedrock, to summarize, analyze, or present it in response to your queries. Magpie supports self-directed decision-making and does not provide financial advice or recommendations. All outputs are informational only and may be inaccurate due to inherent limitations of AI technology. See the “AI Assistant (Magpie)” section below for full details on what data is processed, who processes it, and how it is protected.
  • For support: Respond to inquiries and offer services like consultations.
  • For optimization: Monitor performance, provide anonymized comparisons (e.g., vs. aggregated user data), personalize experiences, and publish anonymous trends (e.g., financial patterns). We anonymize data before aggregation.

We may share data with third-party providers (e.g., for aggregation or AI hosting on Amazon Bedrock) under contracts requiring them to safeguard it and use it only for our services. They may use anonymized data commercially only after removing Personal Information.

For Consultation Service Users

Personal Information We Collect:

  • Financial goals, investment objectives, household employment/income, retirement details, and shared info about spouse/partner/beneficiaries.

How We Use Your Personal Information:

  • To inform on portfolio risks/opportunities, provide customized insights, and personalize experiences.

For Customer

Personal Information We Collect:

  • Upon enrollment: Tax data (e.g., bracket, cost basis), bank/investment login info (via secure third-party like Yodlee), investment objectives, and profile details.

How We Use Your Personal Information:

  • To deliver Wealth Management Service per enrollment agreements.

With Whom We Share Your Personal Information

Except as noted, we do not share Personal Information. We may share:

  • For business operations: E.g., with Yodlee for aggregation (transmitting credentials securely to institutions).
  • For surveys: Contact info with contracted third parties (prohibited from other uses/sharing).
  • For Wealth Management: As disclosed in enrollment documents.
  • With infrastructure providers: For AI processing, data is sent to Anthropic’s Claude model hosted on Amazon Web Services via Amazon Bedrock. Anthropic does not receive, access, or store your data — the model runs entirely within AWS infrastructure under WealthFluent’s control. Your data is never used for model training. AWS operates under a Data Processing Agreement with WealthFluent requiring equivalent or greater data protection. See the “AI Assistant (Magpie)” section for full details.
  • In anonymized form: For trends/analysis, after removing Personal Information.

AI Assistant (Magpie)

WealthFluent includes an AI-powered financial assistant called Magpie, available by default to Premium subscribers. Magpie helps you understand your finances by answering questions about your accounts, holdings, transactions, and financial goals. This section explains what data Magpie uses, how it is processed, and how it is protected.

What Data Magpie Processes

When you interact with Magpie, the following categories of data may be transmitted to our AI processing infrastructure:

  • Your questions and prompts — the messages you type or speak to Magpie
  • Account information — account names, institution names, and account balances
  • Holdings data — investment positions, asset names, quantities, and market values
  • Transaction history — individual transactions, amounts, dates, merchants, and categories
  • Profile information — your name and email address, used to personalize responses
  • Financial plans and goals — data you have entered about your financial objectives

Only the data relevant to your specific question is included in each request. Your full financial profile is not transmitted with every interaction.

Who Processes This Data

Magpie is powered by Anthropic’s Claude language model, hosted exclusively on Amazon Web Services (AWS) through the Amazon Bedrock service. This architecture means:

  • Your data is processed entirely within AWS infrastructure under WealthFluent’s control.
  • Anthropic does not receive, access, store, or have visibility into any of your data. The Claude model runs within Amazon Bedrock’s secure, isolated environment, and your inputs and outputs are never transmitted to Anthropic’s own systems.
  • Amazon Web Services processes data solely in accordance with our Data Processing Agreement and the AWS Service Terms.
  • No other third parties receive your data through Magpie interactions.

No Model Training or Data Retention

  • Your data is never used to train, fine-tune, or improve the underlying AI model.
  • Amazon Bedrock does not use customer inputs or outputs for model training.
  • Neither Amazon Bedrock nor Anthropic retains your prompts or Magpie’s responses after processing is complete.

How Magpie Data Is Protected

  • All data transmitted to and from Magpie is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.2 or higher.
  • Data stored within our AWS infrastructure is encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption.
  • Access to AI processing infrastructure is restricted to authorized WealthFluent personnel and governed by our internal security policies.
  • Amazon Bedrock operates under SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certifications.

Your Choices

Magpie is available by default to Premium subscribers. You control your use of it:

  • You initiate every interaction. Magpie only processes data when you ask a question. If you do not use Magpie, no data is sent to the AI service.
  • You are never required to use Magpie. All core WealthFluent features function independently of the AI assistant.
  • You may disable Magpie at any time in Settings.

The AI Assistant does not provide financial advice or recommendations. All outputs are informational only and may be inaccurate due to inherent limitations of AI technology.

How We Collect and Use Non-Personal Information From Your Browser and App Activities

We collect this to optimize, secure, and simplify your experience (not shared externally).

  • Browser/Device: User agent string for device/OS/browser compatibility and security.
  • Cookies: For security, navigation, personalization, stats, and ad performance tracking (may involve third parties; governed by their policies, e.g., Google Analytics). Manage via browser settings.
  • Pixel Tags: To measure communications/marketing effectiveness and resolve support issues.
  • IP Address: For usage stats, diagnostics, fraud detection, and authentication.

Additional Privacy and Security Information

Security Measures:
We use measures complying with laws, including:

  • Bank-level security: SSL for transit, AES for rest; credentials not stored post-aggregation.
  • Third-party aggregation: Via industry leaders with regulatory oversight.
  • Device authentication: Recognize devices; notify/authorize new ones; remove lost devices.
  • No money movement: View-only access.
  • Account monitoring: Comprehensive transaction views.
  • For AI Assistant (“Magpie”): Data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256) within Amazon Bedrock. Anthropic has no access to your data. No data is retained after processing, and no data is used for model training. See the “AI Assistant (Magpie)” section for full details.

Reviewing/Updating Personal Information:
Access/update via “settings” in website/app. Provide accurate, up-to-date info for service relevance.

Email Marketing Opt-Out:
Our marketing emails comply with CAN-SPAM; opt out via links.

Deletion/Retention of Personal Information:
We retain indefinitely unless requested otherwise; inactive data may be removed after 60 days. We delete upon request (via support@wealthfluent.com, subject: “CANCEL”) after confirmation, retaining only legally required data.

Do Not Track Signals:
We do not respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals; tracking may occur via us/third parties.

Advertising:
No third-party ads on our platforms; we support partnerships.

Social Media:
Integrations (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn) subject to their terms/policies for shared content.

Protecting Children’s Privacy:
Not for under 13; no knowing collection without consent. See FTC site for COPPA info.
